Premier Cru Productions’ concept of bringing a play to you, is a fresh, unique and innovative way to entertain. No need for a theatre – our bespoke ‘pop-up’ service can fit around your venue and the event you have planned. This twenty five minute farce with its informative, historical background will ensure an evening of pure entertainment.

Private functions

In our brief history, we have already performed to both small and large audiences – in a conservatory, an orangery, a pub, an office, and on a hotel lawn. Our farce serves as the perfect kickstart to any party, dinner or private celebration – from significant Corporate or institutional Anniversaries, to Stag Do’s and offers a totally unique way to entertain your guests. We’ll ‘pop-up’ wherever directed!

Corporate dinners

Premier Cru Classe is the perfect accompaniment to a corporate dinner. The half hour farce can be shown before, during or after dinner. The hilarious antics of our hapless science professor and the fascinating subject matter will not only entertain, but provide a talking point for guests, who can also sip, or indeed gulp, along as the increasingly inebriated professor attempts to re-enact the revolutionary 1976 Paris Tasting.  Three hosts, being three actors and three wine experts, with Blind Wine Tasting and Competition by table is almost always encompassed into this event.  Sometimes in a team building manner guests also participate.

Team Building Days and Corporate Wine Tastings: 

If you are thinking of holding a wine tasting for your team building day, then our farce is an entertaining accompaniment. The piece is based on the revolutionary 1976 Paris Tasting, which is universally considered as a tipping point in the history of world wine production.  The play, followed by a wine tasting, with wines from one of our chosen wine merchants, is a fantastic opportunity for staff to relax, enjoy and communicate with each other as  they learn about wine.

Wine Bars, Pubs, Hotels, Wine Merchants and Vineyards

If you are planning an event, our farce serves as a perfect ice-breaker to the proceedings. Whether holding a ‘cultural evening’, or combining the play with dinner, or if you want to publicise your new season’s wine list, this innovative way to entertain will certainly provide your customers with a night to remember.

To add a special touch to your event, we can arrange for the artist Gillian Johnson (http://www.gillianjohnsoncards.com/), to be on hand to record the evening with sketches of your guests – providing a personal memento and super client present .  Gillian’s illustrations are seen throughout this website.

Catering

We have a relationship with Samphire Catering, who like ourselves, provide a ‘pop-up’ kitchen, bringing their own barbeque to serve sublime canapes, fresh fish and steaks, beautiful artisan breads and cheeses, all with a Tuscan flavour.    (For examples of their food, see the Gallery page)

Chelsea Physic Garden

We use The Chelsea Physic Garden, Chelsea who have the Lecture Room (and vines) which serves as a real life set for the Play.  It seats up to 64 for a dinner and wine tasting and is the perfect venue for an evening’s entertainment.
